    Hello Vlad,

I discovered your courses on Pluralsight recently. I am going to attempt a few certifications in Microsoft but I need to brush up and re-learn a few things. I was hoping there would be a trial/demo tenant that is available to people who are trying to learn/study and become certified. I have not come across anything or perhaps I am not looking in the right areas. Can you please shed some light?

    Thank you,
    Mibo

      Hello Mibo!

The best way I could reccomend to get a trial tenant is to sign up for the “Microsoft 365 Developer Subscription” which gives you a 3 month M365 E5 tenant with 25 user licenses! They auto renew it if they see you’re acvtive, but if not , you just start a new one! > https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/developer-program/microsoft-365-developer-program-get-started

As a note, I am sure you’ve seen a lot of info right now, but recently, Microsoft has really been throttling a lot of free offerings as a lot more people use their ressources now with work from home, so it might take a bit longer than usual to get it provisioned!

      Hope this helps!

I recently earned Azure Fundamentals cert thanks in part to the great study guide information you’ve published!

I had planned to next pursue PL900 (Power Platform) but saw your post on the upcoming PL100 (Power Platform App Maker Associate, available 7/17).

Would appreciate your opinion on whether PL100 would be a good prep toward the PL900 (heavy overlap) or not?

      Hello Melissa,

First of all, congratulations on the AZ-900 certification!

Microsoft did make it confusing with the numbers, however, the PL-900 would be a good prep for the PL-100 , and not the other way around. The PL-900 is a “fundamentals” level certification, while the PL-100 is an “Associate” , and while I haven’t taken the PL-100 yet, the Objectives seem quite advanced.

I would definetly go for the PL-900 before the PL-100! I am currently working on the PL-900 study guide and will hopefully have this out in the next two weeks!

      Thanks!

    Vlad:

I am in the process of trying to Architect/Engineer a new public facing app that will interface with our internal Incident Management software. I have been tasked to research whether or not to use Power App Platform (Power Automate), or code as a .Net application ( Angular, Web API, etc.). Please advise.

I thoroughly enjoy your classes on Pluralsight ( I have a subscription)

Hello Dave – glad you’re enjoying the content on Pluralsight! This is a tough one and with the info here I cannot give you the right advice. I would definetly look at Azure Logic Apps as well instead of the Power Platform which might be a nice “in the middle” flexible approach!
