Thanks Vlad. This is very helpful, specifically creating Host Named Site Collection, which is only possible via Powershell.
I noticed one missed template in the list is for My Sites Host – SPSMSITEHOST#0

Are there any resources that truly describe the difference between all the different types of publishing sites? CMSPUBLISHING#0 and BLANKINTERNET#0 ?

    Hi Vlad,
Thanks for the great article. Can you pls provide some details about PROJECTSITE#0 template and project site.
Would like to know if there any features missing compared to teamsite. Can I get all the publishing /collaboration features -like workflows, versioning, permission management – in projectsite ? I am looking to implement a project management kind of solution at present. Also, can i get task-subtask management/alerts/emails/workflows in the projectsite as well ?

    Thanks
    SamolPP

Thank you for this list, very helpful. I have a SiteTemplateID=#1 (blank), is it possible to change it to a #0 (Team Site) without causing issues? My user noticed their site didn’t have the Edit Links on the left menu.
