as you recommended on how to have sql server data files on multiple disks, does it matter if sql server is installed on virtual machine (all hard disks will be virtual)?

    Thanks,

It doesn’t matter if SQL drives are on virtual machine, however it would be better to map your virtual drives to different physical drivers. Don’t forget to read my Whitepaper on how to increase performance!
